The Type of Boss I Want to Be

I’ve been working for a long time in many different places, and something I’m really striving for now is moving up the ladder to become a software architect. I want the responsibility that comes with it, and I’m confident I can get things done while fostering a healthy work environment for my team.
One thing I’ve noticed throughout my career is that in many workplaces, there’s a real lack of empathy for the people working under leadership. I want to be a leader who is empathetic, but also tough when necessary. I understand that sometimes you need to make difficult decisions, but I don’t want to be the type of leader who yells or screams when things don’t go my way.
Instead, I want to build a development team where everyone feels heard and can contribute to creating great products. More importantly, I want to create a studio that produces inspiring work, something that brings out the best in people similar to what Eiichiro Oda has done with One Piece.
Right now, my plan starts with learning to draw. It may seem small, but it’s the beginning of everything I want to achieve. Once I get better at it, I’ll be able to make more interesting content and hopefully attract more visitors to this site. As of October 4, 2025, I average about two visitors which is an improvement from the days when this website got none at all!
I also have two projects you should keep an eye on:
Novelscope – a website that lets people search for their favorite books. It doesn’t look like much now, but I plan to add features that will supercharge it and make it a much more powerful tool.
Secret Project - involving pictures. That’s all I’ll reveal for now! I’ll announce it here and on LinkedIn when the time is right. No timeline because I’d rather under promise and over deliver.
I also want to thank AI tools because honestly, I’m not a great designer. They helped me design my pages faster, but I still made adjustments to fit my projects and ensure all components stayed consistent across everything I build.
Finally, I want to apologize for my recent absence. I’ve been rebuilding this website for better performance while also going through some major life changes, including losing my job and rethinking what I want to do next. I promise to try to add content here more often. I’ve even drawn new pictures I just haven’t uploaded them yet!
